Zinc

Important for brains (and for men)

Zinc is responsible for a wide range of functions in the human body, from synthesis of DNA and proteins, to wound healing, and maintaining a proper sense of taste and smell. Zinc is also one of the most important nutrients for man as it is needed for the production of testosterone.

Our 19229905_xlbodies do not store zinc naturally, so it’s important for us to make sure we get enough in our daily diet. The recommended daily allowance of zinc, as stipulated by the National Academy of Sciences in the United States is 8mg and 11mg for females and males, respectively. HPB has not established a recommended daily allowance of zinc.table 5
