July Winners

Question of the month: “Have an acne problem? Tell us about it!”

July winners will each receive a set of ClarityMDTM Acne Solution worth $90/set!

Acne is not from dirt. I used to have a lot of acne especially on my bottom lip and it would take a few weeks or a month to recover. ClarityMDCentralProductShotWhenever I feel stressed and have insufficient sleep, my acne appears. The areas of acne feel painful and ‘hot’. The blemishes and redness of my skin make me feel so emotional whenever I look at my face. I tried scrubbing my skin every day, hoping it would recover quickly. But this eventually worsened the acne, as scrubbing can compromise the skin’s protective barrier and increase irritation.
I look for products that are non-comedogenic or “for acne-prone skin”. Non-comedogenic products don’t contain ingredients that tend to clog pores, for people with acne-prone skin.

To minimise breakouts, I learned that I should wash gently with a non-irritating, pH-balanced cleanser to lessen inflammation, and exfoliate with a face scrub one or two times a week. It’s also important to thoroughly rinse off the cleanser, because the residue can be irritating.

I am already 28 this year but continue to suffer from pimples. My pimples take a very long time to heal and often leave scars on my skin. This reduces my confidence and makes it very difficult for me to go out without wearing makeup. The blemishes are especially obvious as I am very fair. I always wonder if I can ever have clear skin, and would love to find a solution to this problem.

I had acne ever since I was 16 years old. It was really bad, my whole face was always red and big pimples with pus made it painful at times. I had very low self esteem because of this. I used so many acne creams before and none seemed to work for me.

Now at 32 years old, acne is still my Number One problem, and my face is sensitive due to the many products I have used. I really hope I can find a solution to my problems once and for all!
